If the weather is particularly hot, extending this period may be necessary. Additionally, during the first six months, avoid turning your vehicle's steering wheel when stationary to prevent marks.

To protect your driveway, avoid placing heavy items such as boats, campers, trailers, or maintenance vehicles directly on the surface. If necessary, use a piece of plywood underneath these items to distribute their weight evenly. During warmer months, be cautious of placing pointy objects like kickstands, grills, and lawn chairs on the driveway.

For optimal maintenance, McNulty Construction Corp advises applying a seal coat to your asphalt driveway 1-2 years after installation. To maintain its appearance and prevent oxidation, reapply the driveway sealant every few years, ensuring your driveway remains in pristine condition.

As soon as possible, wash with water and scrub with powdered detergent.

Our driveways are usually 3” thick and installed in 2 layers: 1½” binder coat and 1½” top coat. These are the thicknesses after being compacted. If it is a commercial project, we usually do a 3 ½" x 2” binder coat and a 1 ½” topcoat.
